Ah I think I get it, if I'm understanding this right the reason this skin wasn't accepted is the fact it was a Corpus themed skin outside Corpus design aesthetics. Well now I'm super curious as to what would've happened if the artist never gave any hint of their Solaris inspirations, and just marketed it as a "Cyberpunk" themed skin or something, if it would've still been denied by DE if there was no Corpus attachment stated or not. 😮

There were a variety of factors that resulted in us not being able to consider it for Round 16, unfortunately. Marketing of an item has little way on the team's decision, since it is grounded in technical and style guidelines. 🙂

Quick update for clarity!

Wisp’s helmet textures in-game are much larger than usual -- 2048 x 1024 VS 1024 x 512. [...] If you decide to make a cloth-less helmet, the helmet resolution is then limited in-game to 1024 x 512.

The larger resolution is for in-game instead of authored. You can author your pieces at 4084 x 2048 if you wish (for those with cloth). Clothless helmets will use the regular authored 2048 x 1024 and in-game 1024 x 512 resolutions. Sorry for any confusion here!

Wisp Files are officially available in the Steam Workshop!

Much like Revenant, she is made using new tech, so there are some missing textures in her ZIP file. It’s on you as the creator to make these maps yourself without any reference files.

Below is a list of what is included in the ZIP:

  • Normal
  • Emissive
  • Tintmask
  • Body and Helmet meshes

To be clear, you are expected to still make the specular, roughness, and diffuse maps -- we simply can’t send you a reference for comparison.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT CLOTH:

Wisp’s helmet textures in-game are much larger than usual -- 2048 x 1024 VS 1024 x 512. This is because of the extra mesh that extends down her front and back to form a cowl. You are not obligated to include draping cloth along her back and/or front for your helmet, but if you decide to make a cloth-less...

I just don't understand 1 simple thing,if we did seen tennogen skins on last devstream. Then why we can't have it already in the global build, why we need to wait for another month, and not having right now in the game why DE???? 🤔

Setting up the files to showcase on a Devstream is different than getting them hooked up properly for sale in-game -- we need to set them up in the market, set up rigging (for Syandanas/helmets/etc.) and FX. And then it needs to be all tested. 🙂

That takes time, especially for multiple items, in addition to all the other amazing things our team is working on. Thanks for your patience!

Omg! I just finally got seeding step and aura forma in one arb run and now stuck in “Could not update account information” loop... you want to tell me I lost all that? I have screenshots and video captures tho.

Please make a ticket! Include any proof you have, including who was in your squad, the mission you were playing, etc. Our team will do their best to find a resolution. 🙂

Man!!!! Just got to 100 in that Fortuna Event, walked in the doorway and it froze. Said unable to update account. Now getting this error message.

I recommend submitting a support ticket for cases like this. Offer any details like squad members and a rough time stamp -- we might be able to help. Sorry to hear that happened! 😞

Hi Tenno,

You might have heard us talk briefly about a refresh to our existing TennoGen guides -- these changes are now live over at https://www.warframe.com/steamworkshop/help/index.php?! The goal of this refresh is to address common issues in the program to (hopefully) help reduce the amount of revisions, since there were a few "unwritten rules" that were known by established creators, but not communicated properly to new creators or the community as a whole.

[DE]Kary did an amazing job setting up these initial guides, but 3+ years into the program, some of them needed a fresh coat of paint. This thread serves as an overview of what changed, for those interested in revisiting these guides!

I adore Lukinu_u's stuff but this is ridiculous, four frame skins and three operator accessories all in the same round? And with so many other incredibly popular skins out there right now that could've been used to balance this round out?

We accept all pieces that meet criteria. Lukinu_u has been working with us on some of these pieces since as early as 2017 -- this is the culmination of months and months of hard work, and he absolutely deserves his representation in this round. It's a shame some pieces from other creators weren't quite ready, but they'll be getting feedback to help them meet all criteria for Round 17.

This skin again gets no approval https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1552756160 And this is heartbreaking how long this guy polishes this skin (don't look at the posting date, it was readded), how flawless it looks and it is still neglected. I can't imaging how demotivating it should be.

Does anyone know why it can take weeks or in some cases even months to release Tennogen waves, even when DE show them off in-game in Devstreams looking pretty much ready to be released alongside or even a little before the forum announcement? I'm not complaining or anything, I assume DE must have something they have to sort out first but I'm just really curious to know what that is, because other than the Hydroid helmet lacking gravity for it's tentacles in their Devstream showoff I can't think of anything. 😐

The test rooms you see are just a very basic set-up for showcasing purposes -- Skyers managed to add some basic rigging to make them look extra fancy, but it takes a lot of work from the team to rig them properly and test them to make sure they look great when in-use.

"but there were some stylistic concerns that would take too much time to fix for this round" That was a bit vague, can you go more in depth in what you mean by that? Is it the fact that the creator used gold at first but changed it? Also, are all the items currently accepted the final result of this round that's going to be implemented into the game?

We only share specific feedback with creators themselves out of respect for their privacy. It's up to them if they want to talk more publicly about it, once they have received it.

We’re back with another Devstream, featuring a look at the new Disruption gamemode coming with the Jovian Conchord update, news on changes in Nightwave Series 2, some UI QOL changes and so much more!

This overview is a beefy one, so as usual, if you have the time, we recommend watching the full episode for all the nitty gritty details, or just read about the highlights in our overview here: https://www.warframe.com/news/devstream-127

Aww i had my hopes up for Loki Jotunheim skin by Mz-3

i understand that we have to give space for new tennogen creators but at the same time single person takes up 3 possible places for it. Shame a real shame.

We think the Loki skin is excellent, but there were some stylistic concerns that would take too much time to fix for this round, unfortunately. Rest assured it'll be getting feedback!

I do want to make it clear that we don't "save space" for new creators, that's not a practice we have ever done. Including pieces from new creators is always amazing (we have three this round!!), but their acceptance did not affect decisions for any other pieces in a round. 🙂
